Valentine's Day Party

We had a Valentines' Day party in the afternoon. We put all the tables together and said one kind thing about each person. We had really good snacks like cheese, cucumber's, crackers, and delicious grapes. We also had cookies and delicious cupcakes. We played games like minute to win it and other Valentine's Day games. There were games like snow ball toss and a puzzle  We had so much fun playing stack the cups. We had 24 red cups with one yellow cup on top. The challenge was to stack the red cups until the yellow cup was back on top. We also played freeze dance. We decorated paper bags with shiny heart and lip stickers. The stickers were really shiny. We put our Valentine's Day cards in our bags.

We Love to Read

In are class we are doing a pick your read emoji. It is where you read a book and you can pick your emoji. You can pick you really love it, you love it, you like it, its Okay, or don't like it. You have to write the tittle of the book and put it on the poster. The emojis are for telling the other people in our class what books are good to read.

We are learning about sound in science class. This week we did a test to learn about how we hear. You can try the hearing test my clicking on the link below. Leave a comment to share how you did!

Can You Hear This?

We Are Ninjas

Ninja math is where we have to master four double sided pages of multiplication facts. If you get more then five mistakes then you have to do the whole paper over again. Everyone starts at white belt and tries to get to black belt. We practice multiplication using white boards, our multiplication belts, and playing games on Mathletics.

Our Super Fun Trip to Asessippi

On Thursday we had to wake up early in the morning for our tubing trip to Asessippi. We had to wear all of our warm clothes so we wouldn't get cold. The buses picked us up at 7:30 am. It was a long bus ride. We got to ride the magic carpet that took us up to the top of the big tubing hill. We had to wait in line for our turn to ride down the hill. It was fun to go down the hill by ourselves because the Asessippi workers would spin us really fast. We also liked to ride down the hill in groups. Some of us got so spend money and buy some treats. They make really yummy fries. It was fun to have some of our parents come with us. We saw lots of people skiing too. This was the best field trip ever!

Learning About Inuit People

We had a parent come to our class and talk about Inuit people. She taught us about how they make stuff with different materials like animal skin and fur. She wore a big jacket with a large hood that can hold a baby. She let us feel real seal skin and she passed around little boots and mittens that were soft on the inside. She taught us how to make an Inukshuk out of marshmallows and toothpicks. Inukshuks help the Inuit with directions. Inukshuks look like people. She showed us pictures of dog sleds and igloos. We learned a lot from her.
